Beck Engineering & Composits GmbH
Beck Engineering & Composits GmbH is a Swiss manufacturing company specialising in producing outstanding super sports cars. The primary focus is on the use of lightweight composites in a bid to achieve superlative performances with regard to top speeds and fuel consumption.
The company derives its name from René Beck, who looks back on more than twenty years of experience in prototype and car manufacture. Already in his youth he spent every spare moment he had tinkering and working on his dream of a home-made sports car. Time and time again he turned to nature for inspiration, since on closer examination nature usually already has a solution for virtually every challenge.
In 2001 he finally realised his dream, gaining official road approval and homologation for his first model, the Orca 113.
The years that followed were devoted to perfecting the use of composites such as carbon fibre and Kevlar.
By mid-2006 a small but highly specialised team had clustered around René Beck to launch yet another Swiss supercar with official approval and homologation.

Designed for Performance
The Beck LM 800 is based on the philosophy that exceptional performance can only be achieved thanks to the lightest possible vehicle weight. It is also important to keep the drag coefficient (cw value) low and and the cross-sectional area small. It has been possible to achieve these outstanding values in combination with a specially produced and exceptionally high-performance MTM V8 engine. Borrowing from nature and the use of solutions from Formula 1 have resulted in a headstrong design orientated exclusively towards performance and optimal driving characteristics.
