Tickets for the Geneva International Motor Show, to be held from 8 to 18 March at GENEVA PALEXPO, are already available on-line. The 77th salon looks promising with the announcement of many world and European premieres as well as new exhibitors taking part for the first time. Only two of the five most important motor shows in the world take place every year: Detroit and Geneva. Hardly has the former closed its doors when all eyes turn to Switzerland. Some 244 exhibitors will share a net area of 76,617 m2.

Demand for exhibition space has increased once again and several new exhibitors are registered, including the Chinese make, Brilliance, KTM which is presenting its first car based on its experience of motorcycles, and Russo-Baltique. Two brands are celebrating their renaissance at Geneva: the Abarth (from the Fiat stable) and the Dutch manufacturer, Donkervoort. Rolf Studer, general manager of the Motor Show is delighted: "Whether it is a case of important premieres from the major manufacturers, all of whom will be here, the presentation of prototypes, the introduction of new brands or marketing communications, the world automotive industry often prefers Geneva for a variety of reasons : the Geneva Motor Show is an open, non-protectionist market, it attracts media attention from all over the world, it is able to offer a complete international showcase in a top-of-the-range setting, and it achieves all this while still retaining a human scale."
