For Internet users requiring high-speed broadband connections, as of today, cablecom is launching Switzerland’s most powerful broadband product with unlimited data volumes. 10 Mbit/s for fast data download and an upload rate of 1000 Kbit/s constitute new record speeds for all surfers using cablecom’s network. Compared to the best ADSL product currently on the market, the new hispeed 10 000 offers, for the price of only 65 Swiss francs, twice the download rate at a cost of 30 Swiss francs less. The upload rate is even three times higher than that of the best ADSL product. Also with immediate effect, cablecom is increasing the download rates for its introductory products hispeed light and hispeed 300 to 500 Kbit/s without any change in price.

Watching television on the new hispeed portal Following a test phase, cablecom for the first time offers television via the Internet that comes close to normal television quality. As part of the new hispeed portal (www.hispeed.ch), the so-called Live TV option is available free of charge to all cablecom customers who have a hispeed 2000 subscription or higher. Nine channels – SF1, SF2, RTL, ORF 1, Pro7, ZDF Doku, Fashion TV, MTV, Eurosport – are streamed at rates of up to 1.5 Mbit/s. The picture quality is clearly superior to the numerous TV portals offered on the Internet (zattoo, adsl.tv etc.). The range of channels offered is continually being expanded.
